Motivation Running Training Plans are self-guided, structured running plans built by a certified coach — designed to get you to your finish line without burning out or breaking down. Choose your distance below.
Most plans hand you a schedule and leave you guessing. Every session in these plans includes a plain-language explanation of what you're training, why it matters, and what good effort feels like that day. You stop following blindly. You start training with understanding.
You should be able to hold a conversation. If you can't, slow down.
Generic pace zones are built for average runners. You're not average — you're specific. Pacing in these plans is based on your current fitness, not someone else's benchmark. It adjusts as you improve.
of your runs should feel easy. Most runners get this backwards.
Your body doesn't perform the same every day. HRV — heart rate variability — tells you whether to push or pull back before you lace up. These plans teach you how to read it. No wearable? A 60-second morning check-in tells you the same thing.
The best training decision you'll make today happens before you start running.
Work trips. Sick kids. Bad weeks. Every plan includes re-entry guidance so one missed week doesn't derail your entire build. Life happens. Your plan accounts for it.
The runners who finish their races are the ones who didn't quit when life got hard.
Within 9 months, I ran a trail half-marathon completely injury-free. From there, Coach Stéphane guided me through my first ultra on the Rainier Northern Loop. By 2025, I was completing multiple ultras.
I didn't know there was so much to improve on and think about. I've been running about two months longer than I've ever gotten on my own. He's easy to work with and patient.
Even when I felt like I wouldn't be able to achieve my goal, Stephane still believed in me. Because of him, I was able to complete my first marathon within the goal time I set for myself.
